The principal for our articling student is the firm's managing partner, Brian Law.
Throughout the year the student will be involved in the following practice areas:
We anticipate that the student will devote 15 per cent of their time to business law, 30 per cent to commercial litigation, 10 per cent to real estate practice, 35 per cent to small claims court matters and 10 per cent to wills and estates.
There will be no organized system of rotation through the practice areas as the student will work in all the above areas throughout the term of articles.
We will involve the student in various marketing activities of the firm including social events, receptions, sports, staff functions so the student develops an understanding of the importance of marketing in a small law firm. We will also endeavor to introduce the student to clients and other significant contacts of the firm.
