Arifa’s practice focuses primarily on family law. She also assists the clients in the areas of Wills, Powers
of Attorney, and Real Estate.

Prior to joining the Firm in March 2018, Arifa practiced primarily in family law at a general practice in
Northern Ontario.

As part of her family law practice, Arifa assists clients with a wide range of family law issues, including
child protection, child custody and access, child support, spousal support, property division, and
equalization claims.

Arifa assists clients with negotiating settlements outside of court by way of separation agreements. She
also has represented her clients before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Arifa is also a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and assists her young clients to relay
their views and preferences to the courts in custody, access, and child protection proceedings. She also
provides legal advice to children over the age of seven and minor parents regarding their consents to an
adoption.

Community Involvement

Arifa is a member of the Waterloo Region Law Association, the Cambridge Shades Mill Law Association and the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.  Arifa also holds membership with the Punjab Bar Council, the Islamabad Bar Association, and the Islamabad High Court Bar Association Pakistan. Outside of work Arifa enjoys traveling, meeting people, and learning different cultures.
