1 Year Temporary Contract – Maternity Leave Replacement

We are looking for an individual with general experience in Civil Litigation to join our growing practice in Cambridge, Ontario. Interested candidates who meet the following requirements should forward resumes via email to swan@paveylaw.com.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing Legal Documents (drafting pleadings, document briefs, and affidavits, etc.)
Review of transcripts and compliance with undertakings
Assistance with preparation for discoveries and trial, attending when required
Draft and prepare bills of cost outlines
Preparation of claims for liens for construction matters
Coordination of court service and court filing of motion records, pleadings, facta, etc.
File organization and maintenance

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An organized individual with a strong focus on detail
Ability to easily integrate into a fast paced team environment, as well as work independently
Strong computer skills related to the following software programs: MS Office, PC Law
JOB TYPE: Temporary

JOB LOCATION: Cambridge, ON

START DATE: October 2nd, 2017 (flexible)

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Diploma/Certificate

PRACTICE EXPERIENCE: Law Clerk minimum of 5 years
