Melissa is your employment, labour, and human resources advisor.
Melissa joined the firm in 2021, having practiced with Hicks Morley, a labour and employment law boutique, for almost 10 years. Melissa’s practice includes regularly advising and representing private and public sector clients on a wide range of issues including human rights, wrongful dismissals, employment contracts, grievance arbitrations, collective agreement negotiations, policy development, workplace investigations and occupational health and safety.
Melissa regularly appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario on issues regarding discrimination, accommodation and harassment. She also appears before labour arbitrators and in court on civil litigation matters. While always ready to argue her client’s case before an adjudicator, Melissa is also a pragmatic lawyer who does not hesitate to provide her clients with practical, common-sense solutions to labour and employment issues.
Melissa is always prepared to answer her clients’ day-to-day enquiries as she recognizes the unique challenges of managing employees and maintaining a productive workplace. She is known for not only being a competent human resources, labour and employment lawyer, but also a business advisor who understands the importance of getting to know her clients and her clients’ businesses.

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, whether it is camping, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding or simply going for a walk.
